Time for a parade

The Bismarck Larks accompanied by representatives of the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation held a residential parade in southeast Mandan on Friday. People waved from street corners and houses as a string of vehicles passed through the Fort Lincoln Elementary and Star Gazer Park neighborhoods. Above, Aspyn Dewing, 4, waves to Medora's Sheriff Bear while her mother, Lisa Dewing, left, and friends Sarah Schmidt and daughter Maura Schmidt, 3, watch. The parade included characters Clark the Lark and Merifeather Lewis plus 'Queen of the West' Emily Walter, Bill Sorensen, Teddy Roosevelt and several cowboys.
