Jaylan White’s driving layup in the final seconds lifted the University of Mary to a 100-98 triple overtime road victory over Minnesota-Duluth on Friday night.
White scored with one second remaining, giving the Marauders their second OT win over the Bulldogs this season.
White poured in 25 points to lead five Marauders in double figures. Connor Hellebust added 21 points while Tom Kubank hit for 18.
The Marauders led by 14 points five minutes into the second half, but Duluth rallied all the way back.
Wyatt Carr finished with 12 points for U-Mary. Dennis Austin III had 11 points and four rebounds.
The Marauder women had their four-game NSIC winning streak snapped 78-71 by the Bulldogs.
The Marauders started slowly, trailing 23-16 after one quarter, and could not recover despite 26 points from Gabbie Bohl and 22 from Macy Williams.
Turnovers doomed U-Mary. The Marauders were charged with 23 in all.
Duluth’s Sammy Kozlowski had 26 points and eight steals as the Bulldogs tied the Marauders in the NSIC North Division standings at 7-2.
The Marauders head from Duluth to St. Cloud to face the Huskies on Saturday.
