10 YEARS AGO (2009): First-place Bismarck fought back twice and then gave up the lead before picking up a 5-4 NAHL victory at Owatonna, Minn. Tim Serratore scored the game-winning goal with 19 seconds left in regulation time. Nick Jensen scored two goals for the Bobcats, and Sam Rendle had a goal and an assist.              

20 YEARS AGO (1999): Kelly Howe of the University of North Dakota and Scott Zimmerman of Northern Colorado have been named to the All-North Central Conference football team for the third time. Howe was also named the league's most valuable defensive back. Howe is a 1995 graduate of Century High School.

50 YEARS AGO (1969): The cage hopes of coach Otto Uhde's Wilton Miners are buoyed by the return of 10 lettermen. Wilton's returning senior lettermen are Randy Sawicki, Alan Falkenstein and Terry Berg. Wilton finished last season at 6-15.
