10 YEARS AGO (2008): Beulah rolled over visiting Washburn 17-11 and 8-0 in American Legion baseball. Levi Jurgens, Luke Senske and Dana Johansen homered for the winning Cyclones in the first-game blowout. Charlie Retterath connected for Washburn. Senske pitched a three-hit shutout in the second game.

20 YEARS AGO (1998): Enderlin blasted the Mandan A's 17-3 in the championship game of A's Class B Legion baseball tournament. Tyler Hoy got things rolling for Enderlin with a grand slam home run in the first inning. Hoy, Enderlin's catcher, finished with five RBIs and was a double short of the cycle.

50 YEARS AGO (1968): Tim O'Neil enjoyed a 6-for-6 day at the plate while leading Bismarck to a 10-0, 10-2 doubleheader sweep of visiting Eureka, S.D. O'Neil, who walked twice, never was retired by Eureka pitchers. The performance against Eureka extended a 13-for-19 batting tear that has brought the Bismarck shortstop's batting average close to .500.
