The Class A boys team earned a split of the Lions All-Star Basketball Series on Tuesday in West Fargo.

After Class B took Tuesday night's tilt in Bismarck, the 'A' boys rolled to an 85-74 victory to earn the series split.

The Class A girls won easily for the second night in a row, 95-66.

Four Class A players scored in double figures. Braeton Motschenbacher of Fargo Davies led the way with 16 points, including three 3-pointers. Century’s Treyton Mattern and Mason Walters of Jamestown contributed 14 points each. Kiir Mabor from Fargo South chipped in with 10.

Minot Ryan duo Mason Hedberg (17 points) and Ben Bohl (15) combined for 32 of Class B’s 74 points. Alton Albrecht of Grafton added 14.

The Class A girls completed the series sweep with a 29-point victory on Tuesday night.

Class A's combined margin of victory in the two games was 75 points. They won 91-45 on Monday at Bismarck Legacy High School.

Scoring balance again highlighted the offensive performance for Class A.

Valley City's Taryn Dieterle led all scorers in the game with 16 points, including knocking down all 11 of her free throw attempts.

Alyssa Paper of Fargo Davies was in double figures for the second game in a row with 12 points. Mandan's Megan Zander added 10 points.

Madison Leaf of Warwick topped Class B for the second game in a row with 14 points. Amanda Allen from Medina-Pingree-Buchanan tossed in 11 points.
