AUGIE SWEEPS U-MARY NETTERS
Augustana didn’t let the University of Mary over 20 points in a 3-0 Northern Sun volleyball sweep Friday night at the MAC, 25-14, 25-20, 25-17.
Nehkyah Ellis led in kills (6) and blocks (2) for the Marauders (1-25). Sidney Murphy totaled 11 assists and 10 digs for U-Mary, which hosts Wayne State in their final home match of the season today at 11 a.m.
MARAUDERS WIN SEASON OPENER
Jaylan White scored 18 points in the University of Mary’s season-opening 64-56 overtime win at Central Oklahoma on Friday night.
Wyatt Carr totaled 14 points for the Marauders. Connor Hellebust scored 12 points and grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds. The Marauders were without starting center Matthew Kreklow, who was out with an illness.
The Marauders face Northeastern today in Alva, Okla.
TRIBES SCORES ROAD VICTORY
United Tribes outscored Rainy River (Minn.) 50-34 in the second half to rally for an 86-81 win in Minneapolis on Friday.
Cecilio Montgomery led five Thunderbirds in double figures with 15 points. Nick Jiles added 14 points and 10 assists in the win.
United Tribes (2-2) faces Dakota Community Tech on today at 3 p.m.

U-MARY WOMEN FALL ON ROAD
The University of Mary women’s basketball team lost to Central Oklahoma 80-72 Friday in Alva, Okla.
Lexie Schneider registered 14 points and 13 rebounds for the Marauders, who fell in a 26-12 hole after the opening quarter. Cassie Askvig had a team-best 20 points to go with five rebounds, four assists and one steal. Coral Gillette and Megan Voit added 11 points each. Macy Williams scored 10 points and passed out five assists.
The Marauders (1-3) face Northeastern State Saturday at noon.
MARAUDERS WIN SEASON FINALE
Keaton Boehm, Adam Stringer and Mitch Carter scored goals as the University of Mary men’s soccer team won its final game of the season 3-2 over Brandon University in Manitoba on Friday.
Boehm added an assist to his ledger. Stanley Joseph got an assist on the Marauders’ final goal.
Lukas Billhardt stopped five shots to earn the win for the Marauders (2-11).
UND ROUTS MIAMI
Jonny Tychonick scored two goals as North Dakota routed Miami-Ohio Friday in Grand Forks.
Also scoring goals for the Fighting Hawks were Dixon Bowen, Westin Michaud, Collin Adams, Jasper Weatherby and Jacob Bernard-Dockter.
Miami-Ohio scored the first goal of the game. UND goalie Adam Scheel stopped 21 shots in the win.
Game 2 of the series is tonight at 7:07 p.m. at Ralph Engelstad Arena.
