WILDERNESS BLANK BOBCATS
CLOQUET, Minn. – Chikara Hanzawa scored a pair of goals as the Minnesota Wilderness blanked the Bismarck Bobcats 4-0 on Saturday night.
Three different players lit the lamp for Minnesota.
Tyler Watkins scored with 10 seconds left in the first period to give the hosts a 1-0 lead at the first intermission.
Garrett Worth scored 1:45 into the second to make it a two-goal lead.
Hanzawa scored twice in the third period, at 1:56 and 13:00, as Minnesota finished off a 4-0 win.
Kaleb Johnson stopped all 29 shots he faced to get the win for Minnesota (18-17-1).
Andrew Miller finished with 24 saves. Ethan Lahmon stopped all four shots he saw after coming on for the final seven minutes of the contest for Bismarck (21-9-2-3)
The Bobcats face Minot in a home-and-home series next weekend, hosting the Minotauros on Friday, Jan. 24 and visiting the Maysa Arena on Saturday, Jan. 25.
U-MARY WRESTLING DUAL POSTPONED
The University of Mary’s wrestling dual at Northern State on Saturday was postponed due to weather.
The dual has been reschedule to Thursday, Feb. in Aberdeen.
The Marauders hosts Minnesota-Mankato on Friday at 7 p.m.
