CLASS B STATE DUALS SEEDED

Lisbon is the No. 1 seed in this year's Class B dual state tournament, scheduled for Feb. 14 and 15 at the Fargodome.

The Broncos, the Region 1 champions and winners of last year's individual state tournament, will take on Bowman County in next Thursday's quarterfinal round. Region 1 runner-up South Border is the No. 2 seed and will face Hillsboro-Central Valley in the quarterfinals. The Mustangs are the defending state champions.

No. 3-seeded New Salem-Almont will go against Velva, and No. 4 Central Cass will face No. 5 Minot Ryan in the other quarterfinal duals.

All four duals will begin at 1:30 p.m.

MCCLAIN EARNS NSIC HONOR

Sophomore Rob McClain of United Tribes and Patrycja Jaworska of Miles Community College have been named basketball players of the week by the Mon-Dak Conference.

McClain, a 6-foot-5 sophomore, scored 41 points in two games as the Thunderbirds split two games. In addition, McClain grabbed 23 rebounds, handed out 11 assists, added five steals and blocked four shots.

Jaworska, is a 5-6 sophomore.

BHS HOCKEY GAME SATURDAY

Bismarck's home hockey game against Jamestown was postponed Thursday night.

The West Region contest will instead be played Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Capital Ice Center.

U-MARY WRESTLING TWEAKS SCHEDULE

The University of Mary's home wrestling dual on Friday against Southwest Minnesota State has been moved to Sunday at 2 p.m.

Saturday's dual against Augustana at 7 p.m. at the MAC remains unchanged.
