HOMERS LIFT CROOKSTON OVER MARAUDERS
Minnesota-Crookston defeated the University of Mary 18-8 on Sunday in Watford City in NSIC baseball play.
The Golden Eagles took two out of three from the Marauders on the weekend, banging out 18 hits on Sunday, including four home runs.
Brock Reller belted two homers and had five RBIs for Crookston, now 12-6 in the Northern Sun.
The Marauders pounded out 17 hits of their own. Jesus Payan had a huge game, going 4-for-5 including a two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning. Connor Doll added three hits for the Marauders, who return to action on Wednesday, hosting Minot State at 1:30 p.m.
AUGIE TOPS U-MARY IN TENNIS SEMIS
The University of Mary tennis team had its season end in the NSIC semifinals on Sunday.
The Marauders fell 4-0 to eventual conference champion Augustana in Minnetonka, Minn.
The Marauders finished with 14 wins on the season, tying a school record.
