MINOT - Channing Mann had a whale of a first half.
The Bismarck High senior running back scored four touchdowns, helping the Demons roll to a 38-6 win over Minot on Thursday in West Region action.
Mann scored on runs of 21, 24, 6 and 31, helping the fifth-ranked Demons rout the fourth-ranked Magicians.
"I think the one thing was even though Minot put a lot of guys in the box,"
Bismarck coach Mark Gibson said, "he was able to find a crease and get out in the open."
Mann finished with 224 yards rushing on 22 attempts. Dillon Lange was not too bad either, rushing eight times for 87 yards and a fourth-quarter score.
Jordan Kleinjan rushed 4 yards for a touchdown as Bismarck rolled to a 32-0 halftime lead.
The Demons improved to 4-1 in the West Region and 6-2 overall.
Bismarck's defense came up big all night after giving up 33 points to Mandan last week.
"Our defense was night and day from a week ago," Gibson said. "The kids were challenged all week and came out and, for the most part, won the game for us."
