Jackson Ward won for the second time this season on the West Region golf circuit.
The Bismarck Century senior carded an even-par round of 72 at the Minot Country Club to earn medalist honors. Ward is the first two-time winner this season. He won at Mandan's Prairie West Golf Course on May 8.
Ward finished two shots clear of runner-up Trey Hohbein of Mandan and his score of 74.
Team-wise, Century's 309 was four strokes better than the host Magicians. Century has won four of the five West Region meets this season.
Logan Rush (75) and Alex Flam (76) earned top 10 finishes for Century, tying for third and fifth, respectively.
Bismarck's Tyce Halter (76) also tied for fifth.
The next West Region meet is the Williston Open at the Links of North Dakota on Friday.
MINOT FALLS IN NAHL TITLE TILT
Minot scored first, but Shreveport netted the final two goals for a 2-1 victory in the NAHL championship game Monday night in Blaine, Minn.
Minot was going for its first Robertson Cup championship one night after eliminating No. 1 seeded Fairbanks 5-4 in overtime.
Nolan Sawchuk made it 1-0 Minotauros at the 9:31 mark of the first period. However, Minot was held to just two shots in the second period and six in the third.
Shreveport, the No. 2 seed in the tournament, got goals from Brendan VanSweden in the second period and Cole Quisenberry for the eventual game-winner with 3 minutes and 28 seconds left in regulation.
