The University of Mary had a big day at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference track meet on Saturday.

The Marauders won five individual titles and a relay crown on the final day of the conference outdoor, added to Alexis Zeis’ runner-up finish in the 10,000 meters on the opening day of the meet, and piled up 157 points to claim the team title.

Zeis, who took second in the 10K on Friday, added a title in the 5,000, clocking in at 16:34.35. Jaiden Schuette (17:26.19) and Kaycie Stewart (17:39.69) came in fifth and sixth, respectively. Lacey Feist-Young clocked in at 17:34.98 for eighth for the Marauders.

Schuette and Emma Hafdahl turned in a 1-2 U-Mary finish in the 3,000 steeplechase. Schuette finished in 10:42.78 with Hafdahl crossing in 10:55.99.

Bree Erickson won the 1,500 in 4:27.82 and Taylor Hestekin won the 800 in 2:10.25.

D’Andra Morris won the triple jump (11.95 meters) and tied for fifth in the high jump (1.59 meters).

Hammerschmidt, Abbey Zastrow, Nicolyn Brown and Nelecia Richards combined to win the 1,600 relay in 3:47.19.

Tonie Pandohie finished second in the 100 hurdles (13.82). Julia Hammerschmidt (1:02.55) and Pandohie (1:03.34) turned in a 4-6 finish in the 400 hurdles.

Cali Modglin, Hammerschmidt, Pandohie and Tanesha Davis teamed up for a second-place finish in the 400 relay (47.03).

Zastrow second in the 400 (55.99). Teammates Brown (57.15) and Richards (57.16) finished fifth and sixth, respectively.

Modglin came in second in the long jump (5.72 meters), Stewart also finished third in the 10,000 on Friday (36:54.95) and Erickson finished fourth in the 800 (2:14.10).

Tanesha Davis fourth in the 100 (12.08), Zastrow came in fifth in the 200 (25.07) and Kylie Pastian finished sixth in the triple jump (11.45 meters).

The Marauders piled up 157 points to runner-up Minnesota State-Mankato’s 110. Winona State was third with 81.33. Augustana fourth with 80 and Minnesota-Duluth fifth with 78.

Men finish second

The Marauders finished second in the team competition on the men’s side, piling up 10.5 points, finishing only behind champion Minnesota State-Mankato’s 191. Augustana finished third with 98, Wayne State fourth with 92 and Sioux Falls fifth with 66.5.

Luxon Glor won the 100 in a time of 10.59 seconds and came in third in the 200 (21.89). He also placed fourth in the long jump (7.27 meters).

Josh Lamers won the 110 hurdles, crossing in 14.15.

Derek Myers won the 10K for the Marauders on Friday on the meet’s opening day, clocking in at 30:20.75.

Marceau Jovin, Glor, Colton Stoltz and Lamers combined for a second in the 400 relay (41.24).

Jack Lamb turned in a jump of 2.02 meters for second in the high jump. Tyrell Rosencranz finished second in the triple jump (14.72 meters).

Jared Pflipsen tied for third in the pole vault, clearing 4.36 meters and Teegan Olson came in third in the 800 (1:53.36).

Andrew Pike’s throw of 52.92 meters was good for fourth in the javelin.

Austin Lucero, Jeremiah Morrissette, Josh Wulfekuhle and Myers came in fifth in the 1,600 relay in 3:22.12.

Logan Myers finished seventh in the 400 (49.51).

Talon Staudinger (6.95 meters) and Sam Mackedanz (6.86 meters) came in seventh and eighth, respectively, in the long jump. Staudinger also placed fifth in the triple jump (14.19 meters), while teammates Beau Nutting (14.05 meters), Glor (13.87 meters) and Shenley Allen (13.80 meters) came in sixth, seventh and eighth, respectively.
