DVORAK TOPS U-MARY SIGNINGS
University of Mary women's basketball coach Rick Neumann announced the signings of four players on Wednesday, including Tonya Dvorak of St. Mary's.
Also inking letters of intent with the Marauders were Carly Kottsick of Fargo Davies along with Kassandra Bartek (Oak Creek, Wisc.) and Lexie Schneider (Appleton, Wisc.).
Dvorak averaged 11.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 2.2 blocks and 1.4 steals last season for the Saints. She is the daughter of Carolanne and Allan Dvorak.
"Tonya is one of the best players in the 2018 North Dakota graduating class," Neumann said. "At 6-1 she possesses a unique skill set. ... We really feel Tonya has a chance to be an impactful NCAA Division II player."
Kottsick averaged 11.8 points, 4.3 assists, 2.9 steals and 2.4 rebounds per game last season for the Eagles, who went 18-7.
Neumann said Bartek is one of the, "Best 3-point shooters in Wisconsin." The 5-10 guard averaged 9.9 points and 2.8 rebounds per game and made 38 percent of her 3-point attempts.
At 6-3, Schneider averaged 11.8 points and 11.5 rebounds last season at Appleton East High School.
GLASSER SIGNS WITH BSC VOLLEYBALL
Bismarck High's Alie Glasser has signed with the Bismarck State College volleyball team.
Glasser, a 5-foot-3 defensive specialist, "Will bring her high energy court presence to solidify the back row defense for the Mystics," said BSC head coach Jeni Walsh.
She is the daughter of Alleyn and Bonnie Glasser and is a member of the National Honor Society.
