Larson's winning touchdown came with 10 seconds to play. The outcome leaves both Minot and Century 4-1 in the region and 5-2 overall.
20 YEARS AGO (1998): The University of Mary women's team took first place in the Roe Granger cross country meet at Aberdeen, S.D. The Marauders posted a 41 to runner-up Dakota State's 59. Marie Parker Sample of Dakota State won the women's race.
50 YEARS AGO (1968): St. Mary's, with just one victory to its credit, played to a 13-13 tie with fourth-ranked Bismarck in a West Region football game at Hughes Field. Bismarck led 13-6 after three quarters, but Saints quarterback Rod Barth connected with Don Rubbelke for an 81-yard touchdown pass with 2:11 to play.
