Beavers top Marauders, 5-2

Blake Fournier scored two goals as Minot State defeated the University of Mary 5-2 on Friday night at Maysa Arena.

Zach Garrett’s first period goal put the Marauders on top at the 3:26 mark. Minot scored the next four goals of the game.

Davis Sheldon, Justin Metcalf and Jordan Robertson also scored for the Beavers.

Kyler Moore scored the Marauders’ other goal.

Marshall Tschida (2) Alex Flicek and Matt Winkle got assists.

Minot State held a 36-21 advantage in shots on goal.

The Marauders host the Beavers on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Starion Sports Complex in Mandan.
