U-MARY TENNIS TEAM TOPS SIOUX FALLS 

The University of Mary tennis team earned a 4-3 win over Sioux Falls on Sunday.

Tasha Dembo and Jamie Stoppler each went 2-0 on the day for the Marauders.

In singles play, Dembo (No. 1), Stoppler (No. 3) and Julie Donnelly (No. 6) picked up victories.

The Marauders won two of three single-set doubles matches to earn the team point.

Dembo and Kelsey Lajom teamed to win at No. 1 doubles, while Stoppler and Danielle Wolf picked up a victory at No. 2.

The Marauders (1-1) are on the road this weekend, playing three matches in Mankato, Minn., against MSU-Mankato, Gustavus Adolphus and Southwest Minnesota State.

GLOR BREAKS TWO RECORDS

Luxon Glor broke two records to highlight the University of Mary's strong showing at the South Dakota State Indoor Classic.

Glor, a senior from Winnipeg, broke his own school records in the 60- and 200-meter dashes. Glor won the 60 (6.74) and took second in the 200 (21.61). He was the lone NCAA Division II runner in the top 10 in the 200.

The Marauders broke five school records in the meet.

Derek Myers broke his own mark in the 5,000 meter-run in a winning time of 14:26.64.

Elsewhere for the U-Mary men, Tyrell Rosencranz took second in the triple jump (48-2.75).

In the high jump, Shenley Allen took third by clearing 6-8.

Team-wise, the Marauders' 42 points put them fifth in the 24-team meet.

The Marauder women piled up 68 points to place fourth out of 24 teams.

Abbey Zastrow won the 400, setting a new meet and school record in a time of 55.45 seconds. Teammate Nicolyn Brown (56.80) gave the Marauders the top two finishers in the race.

Monique McPherson also set a school record, posting a time of 2:11.12 in the 800, good for third overall.

In the 3,000, Jaiden Schuette placed second in 9:50.45 and was the only D-II runner in the top 10.

D'Andra Morris earned runner-up honors in the triple jump with a leap of 38-8.75.

Emily Roberts (16:37.74) and Ida Narbuvoll (16:54.38) went 3-4 in the 5,000.

Bree Erickson (4:56.92) ran third in the mile.

The Marauders head for Spearfish, S.D., and the Black Hills Stinger Open on Friday and Saturday.
