Goals have been hard to come by for the Bismarck Bobcats, and the trend continued on Saturday in a 2-1 loss to Austin at the VFW Sports Center.

The Bobcats have scored just five goals in their last four games while going 0-2-2.

Austin and Bismarck played to a 1-1 standoff through two periods. Jaden Shields scored a power play goal for Austin in the middle of the first perid, and Alex Pollock got the equalizer for the Bobcats in the middle of the second period.

Justin Brandt put Austin ahead 2-1 at 5:43 of the third period, and Bismarck was unable to solve Bruins goalie Alex Schilling the rest of the way.

Schilling picked up the win with a 27-save effort to improve to 3-4-1. The Bobcats outshot Austin 28-16.

The Bobcats now hit the road for five games, four of them in Alaska. Bismarck plays two at Fairbanks, two at Kenai River and one in Aberdeen. Their next home action is a home date with Aberdeen on Nov. 25.
