TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) -- Christin Stewart doubled and singled as the Toledo Mud Hens beat the Charlotte Knights 3-2 on Thursday. With the victory, the Mud Hens swept the three-game series.
Kevin Comer allowed a run, but got Jacob May to ground out with a runner on second to end the game for his third save of the season.
Toledo went up 3-0 in the third after Jim Adduci hit an RBI single, driving in Ronny Rodriguez.
After Charlotte scored a run in the fifth, the Knights cut into the deficit in the ninth inning when Mason Robbins hit an RBI double, scoring Patrick Leonard.
Toledo right-hander Kyle Dowdy (1-0) picked up the win after allowing one run on five hits over five innings. Opposing starter TJ House (1-5) took the loss in the International League game after giving up three runs and seven hits over six innings.
Leonard reached base three times for the Knights.
