LA CROSSE RALLIES PAST LARKS
LA CROSSE, Wis. – Michael Farnell clubbed a three-run first-inning home run, and the Bismarck Larks jumped out to an early 5-1 lead.
But the La Crosse Loggers put up eight runs in the bottom of the third to take the lead for good, and went on to post a 10-7 Northwoods League victory on Saturday night at Copeland Park.
Harrison Freed hit a three-run homer and Armani Smith and Kyson Donahue hit back-to-back solo shots in the third for the Loggers (12-12).
Farnell, who homered for the second game in a row, and Ripken Reyes each had three hits for the Larks (15-10). Parker Harm pitched the final 2.2 innings for Bismarck, holding La Crosse scoreless on two hits while walking none and striking out two.
Cam Baumann pitched the first five innings to get the win for La Crosse. Jon Meyerring got the save, holding Bismarck scoreless on one hit, walking none and striking out three.
The Larks and Loggers square off again today at 5:05 p.m.
