10 YEARS AGO (2009): Shaunna Knife drilled a 3-pointer with 1.6 seconds remaining to give the University of Mary a 67-66 upset victory over visiting Concordia-St. Paul. Concordia-St. Paul entered the game leading the Northern Sun Conference and boasting a No. 20 national ranking. Knife finished the game with 15 points to lead a trio of Marauder double-figure scorers.

20 YEARS AGO (1999): Even-Steven. The largest margin at any of the quarter stops was two points as Belfield took a 65-63 boys basketball victory from visiting South Heart. Travis Talkington broke a 63-all tie by swishing a baseline jumpshot with 3 seconds to play.

50 YEARS AGO (1969): Mott downed Bowman 84-65 in a Class A Southwest Region small school basketball encounter at Mott. Collin Rixen scored 25 points for the winning Cardinals. Colby Winmill popped in 23 for Bowman. Mott remains undefeated at 11-0 with the win.
