10 YEARS AGO (2009): Former Williston High School and Lake Region State coach Mark Graupe will lead Dartmouth for the remainder of the men's basketball season. Graupe, who is from Crosby, was named interim coach after Terry Dunn abruptly resigned last week. Graupe was an assistant at Colorado State last season.

20 YEARS AGO (1999): A 39-point second half earned Halliday-Golden Valley-Dodge a 55-53 boys basketball victory over visiting New Salem. Jeremiah Sage of H-GV-D connected for 23 points to lead all scorers. Luke Sturn tallied 18 points to lead New Salem.

50 YEARS AGO (1969): Stanton led from start to finish while routing visiting Zap 66-34 in a District 28 basketball clash. Ron Thompson poured in 22 points for the winning Sioux. Jim Renner tallied nine points for Zap's Wildcats.
