In 2006, Michaelson resigned as the Midgets' head wrestling coach after 14 seasons at the helm.

20 YEARS AGO (1999): Less than two weeks after his college career came to a close, Dickinson State linebacker Tony Biesiot began a new chapter in his football career. 50 YEARS AGO (1969): The University of  North Dakota broke away from a 71-71 tie in its season basketball opener to defeat Lincoln (Neb.) 97-86 in Grand Forks. Mahlon Sanders pumped in 31 points for the Sioux, Evan Lips scored 27 and Chuck Dodge notched 20.
