A film about the battle over the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux mascot will be released on Wednesday, filmmaker Matt Fern announced.
Eleven short films have been chosen for screening at the Night of Shorts at the Dakota Film Festival at 7 p.m. Friday at the Belle Mehus Auditorium.

Students learned about filmmaking techniques and had their movies screened at Dakota Digital Film Festival, held Friday at Belle Mehus Auditorium. The festival was created to encourage filmmaking and to give professionals and students a place to meet and show their work.
