About Minot State University

About Us:

Students and their families are choosing Minot State University because it’s small and affordable while offering strong academic programs.

With a student body of 3,300 students, it’s truly a place to: “Be seen. Be heard.” The more time students spend at Minot State, the more they realize they’ve landed at an amazing university.

Education and learning with us are hands-on – it’s engaging and rewarding. Whether students major in one of our new academic programs in energy economics and finance or bioinformatics, or choose a major in nursing, art, communications disorders, criminal justice, music, management, or education, our students will learn in engaging environments from highly-talented faculty.

Recent campus enhancements strengthen our already appealing campus.

The new Wellness Center provides a much-needed fitness and wellness facility for our students.

Our Beaver Creek Cafe offers students, staff and our community members an “all-you-care-to-eat" selection of delicious food choices.

Minot State offers numerous student activities to keep students engaged while going to school. Students can choose from theater, music performance, a student club, intramurals or participate as a NCAA DII athlete in the NSIC.

Distance education is also a strength. Online degrees offer another option for the learner eager to complete their undergraduate degree or seeking to advance in their career by earning a master’s degree.

Minot State has offices and undergraduate degree programs on the NDSU and Bismarck State College campuses and at Minot Air Force Base.

Our Ambassadors Club truly enjoys giving guests campus tours, which include a visit with a faculty member. Guests also receive information about the many facets of residence life during the visit. Campus tours are available daily including Saturdays.
