More than 1,000 fall wild turkey hunting licenses remain in nine units after the license lottery.

The remaining licenses will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 8 a.m. Central time on Wednesday, according to the North Dakota Game and Fish Department. Resident and nonresident hunters must purchase a license online at the Game and Fish website, gf.nd.gov.

Hunters are allowed a maximum of five licenses for the fall season, which runs from Oct. 12 through next Jan. 5.
