It’s been nearly two years and I feel like the 2016 campaign never ended. We cannot escape the never-ending news cycle of 2016.

Donald Trump is in the White House. Hillary Clinton isn’t. And yet, every time I’ve turned on the television recently, I see a commercial about Hillary Clinton. She’s not running for office or even campaigning around the country for the people who are. And yet, there she is on our television screens every night. Are Republicans ever going to get over her? Is that really the only ad they could come up with?

Maybe it’s just me, but I think people have bigger concerns than rehashing the 2016 election. Somebody needs to tell whoever is paying for these ads that we’re more interested in what’s happening in North Dakota today than we are in what happened in Washington 18 months ago.

Are they so lacking in accomplishments that they don’t have a single positive issue to run on?
