While the two of us spend much of our time and energy working in and advocating for K-12 education at the state level, we want to recognize the incredible value of the work being done locally where decisions are closest and sometimes most impactful.
At the most recent Bismarck Public School Board meeting, our school board members took a vote that sends a message to our community as important as the dollars they invested. With their unanimous vote of support, $6 million will help revitalize and expand classroom space for our neighborhood kids at Northridge Elementary.
It is so clear that our community values all of our neighborhood schools. Watching parents rally around and speak up for our schools, parents whose kids may not even attend their school long enough to fully enjoy the fruits of their labors, reminds us what good leadership is all about: making things better for those who come after us.
To the Northridge PTO, parents, teachers, administrators, and alumni who advocated for this, and to the school board members who supported the continued investment in Northridge Elementary and its students, thank you. As parents of a future Northridge Superstar, we appreciate your investment in our toddler’s someday school.
