I am extremely disappointed with our new mayor. He made a conscious decision to be involved in a gun rally at the same time as the Parkland students set up a town hall meeting. This does not show a desire to represent the city and shows a deaf ear to people in this city who care about gun violence and protecting our young people from gun violence.
I would have had so much respect for him if he would have attended both venues as a private citizen rather than putting his name all over the pro-gun rally. The fact that the pro-gun rally was held at the same time as those young people made the effort to come to Bismarck to discuss gun violence was disappointing.
