The seemingly interminable House impeachment inquiry drones on, giving credence to the pervasive "fake news" theory. The Democrats, with the collusion of the national media have hijacked the daily news of its substance both here and abroad to inflict their fantasy indictment of Trump on the public.
Their pathological hatred of the president might be likened to a cancer, eating at the heart of the Democratic party. It's not hard to foresee a backlash that will serve to benefit the Republicans.
The efforts to destroy Trump bring to mind a line from Shakespeare's timeless play, Macbeth. "It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."
Though the Republicans are not blameless in the art of deception, the guile of the Democrats is obvious in their adoption of possibly the most cynical attitude imaginable: The truth is what you want it to be.
