Joseph Hendrix, 35, failed to stop for the approaching train at a crossing and was struck shortly after 12:30 p.m. Monday, the Highway Patrol reported.
Hendrix was traveling from a farm to a grain elevator in York. The BNSF Railway train was en route from Minot to Dilworth, Minn.
Hendrix was taken to a Rugby hospital with injuries the patrol said were not life-threatening. No one on the train crew was hurt. The train and all 72 railcars stayed on the tracks, and the train was able to continue on.
