The head of the North Dakota Department of Transportation's driver's license operations is on paid administrative leave during a workplace investigation, a spokeswoman for the agency said Wednesday.
Glenn Jackson has been on leave since February, said DOT spokeswoman Jamie Olson. She said she was unsure what was behind the investigation and didn't know when it would be completed.

A phone number listed under Jackson's name was disconnected, and he didn't immediately respond to a message sent to his department email address. The Associated Press first reported the investigation Wednesday.
Jackson earns almost $96,000 annually, according to a state human resources official. He's worked for the department for a decade.
