PIERRE, S.D. -- A North Dakota woman was arrested in Pierre over the weekend after police say she was caught with a stolen vehicle and obstructing arrest..
Pierre Police Capt. Bryan Walz said Pierre police officers got a report on May 12 that a vehicle had been stolen in Mandan and the thief may have been headed to Pierre. Officers found the vehicle later in the day and the officer who spotted the vehicle initiated a traffic enforcement stop, Walz said.
When the officer attempted to arrest the driver, Lynsey Fisher, 33, tried to prevent officers from doing so, Walz said. Fisher eventually was subdued and placed under arrest on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle, obstructing an officer and driving while suspended, Walz said.
