Sen. John Hoeven, R-N.D., reviews details of an omnibus budget plan passed by Congress during a 2014 meeting.

U.S. Sen. John Hoeven, R-N.D., was re-elected chairman of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee and the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Committee.

“I look forward to advancing North Dakota’s priorities through my continued work on these important committees,” Hoeven said in a statement.

On Indian Affairs, Hoeven said he will continue to advance the priorities of empowering tribal economic development and improving public safety, health care and education in tribal communities.

As chairman of the Agriculture Appropriations Committee, Hoeven said he looks forward to continuing to working to provide farmers and ranchers “with the tools they need to succeed and overcome the challenges facing rural America.”
