Victoria Degenstein

Victoria Degenstein, a 2015 Hazen High School graduate, will represent North Dakota in next month’s National America’s Homecoming Queen scholarship competition in Memphis.

Competing students win college scholarships, which Degenstein will apply to her studies at the University of Mary in Bismarck. She plans to double major in nursing and Catholic studies.

Degenstein is the daughter of Kasey Degenstein, an appliance sales representative at Roughrider Electric Cooperation in Hazen, and Mark Degenstein, a maintenance engineering inspection supervisor at Dakota Gasification Co.

She was elected HHS’s Homecoming Queen in September 2014 and was a member of the school’s National Honor Society, student council, FBLA, Coal Country Leadership Academy and the Hazen Highlights.
