Fryburg school open to public for presentation

Anyone interested in learning more and commenting on plans to convert the former Fryburg school into a worker residence can attend an open house starting at 3 p.m. Thursday at the school location in Fryburg.

Morgan Chase Management will host the event in order to present its plans to use the existing structure for dining and training and add wings for 238 lodgers related to oil and gas development in the area. A session for the public to comment on the plan will start at 5:30 p.m.

The meeting may be attended by members of the Billings County Commission and Planning and Zoning Commission, but it is not an official meeting of either board. The county commission recently tabled a revised application for the project, pending more information about waste disposal and other issues.
