Fire destroys campers at Beulah Bay Recreation Area

A fire at Beulah Bay Recreation Area destroyed two campers early Thursday morning but neither structure was occupied at the time, according to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office.

The fire was reported at 6:20 a.m. and destroyed two campers that were parked side by side, along with a boat and two golf carts, said Detective Mark Schmitt.

No injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation.
