A Bismarck-area DUI task force came in contact with 108 people during an October saturation patrol effort.

The task force, made up of the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the sheriff's departments of Burleigh, Grant, Mercer, Morton and Sheridan counties, and the police departments of Beulah, Bismarck, Lincoln and Mandan, put more officers on the road in October in an effort to deter people from drinking and driving and to remove impaired drivers from the road.

During the effort, the task force arrested three people for driving under the influence, one for drug-related charges and one for driving under suspension. They also cited two people for seat belt violations and three for speeding and were involved in 27 other arrests and traffic citations.
