A statewide law enforcement crackdown on distracted driving resulted in 370 citations.

The "U Drive. U Text. U Pay." enforcement campaign was conducted in North Dakota in September, coinciding with a national effort. The majority of the citations attributed to the added patrols were for distracted driving, but others were doled out for offenses ranging from speeding to not wearing a seat belt. There also were four drug-related arrests.
