Gov. Doug Burgum, Agriculture Commissioner Doug Goehring and other state officials plan to visit flood-affected areas in eastern North Dakota on Monday.
They will meet with local officials and community members in Fargo, Grand Forks and Jamestown and hold a townhall meeting in Fessenden to hear about the impacts of the unusually wet fall and the record-breaking early snowstorm.
The state is likely to seek a federal disaster declaration to pave the way for aid to help with crop losses and infrastructure repairs, Burgum and Goehring said.
