Zane I. Gifford pass away July 30, 2019, in Gresham, Ore.
Zane was very proud and honored to serve his country as a member of the U.S. Army Reserves from Nov. 22, 1985, to Oct. 19, 1993. While serving he received several awards and commendations including Letter of Excellence, Soldier of the Year, and Army Achievement. Zane was a member of the 945th Company of Engineers. He served eight years and was honorably discharged with the rank as Sgt. Gifford.
"A way a man keeps his word is simply by a handshake." Those are the words spoken by Zane often and are exactly how he lived his life.
Zane was an outdoors man. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. Zane also enjoyed showing off his skills of playing pool at the local pub with his friends. One of his many talents was creating silly voices for the family pets. Zane's laughter was so contagious that you couldn't help but laugh with him. He was very knowledgeable and took great pride in everything he did. He loved to help others and was always there whenever you needed him. His greatest joy in life was his family.

Zane was born on April 18, 1966, in Elgin. He moved to Gresham with his wife and son in 1999.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Hilda Gifford Sr.
He leaves behind to love and miss him always, his wife, Patricia Gifford, son, Mason Gifford, and daughter, Monica Gifford. He will always be lovingly missed by his brothers, Wayne Gifford Jr., Jesse Gifford (Marcia) and sister, Wanda Gifford. He was the proud uncle to several nieces and nephews.
