The funeral for Timothy Gross, Kintyre, will be Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Napoleon. Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 6, from 3 to 7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Napoleon. Burial will be at St. Philip Neri Catholic Cemetery, Napoleon.
Timothy Gross, son of Alfred and Wilma (Sperle) Gross was born Aug. 6, 1956, in Linton. He grew up and attended school in Napoleon, graduating in 1974. Tim attended Wahpeton School of Science. He worked for Wentz Chevrolet for a year and Wentz Equipment for a year, both in Napoleon. Tim started farming and a Steel Building Construction Company. He was united in marriage to Mary Grunefelder on Nov. 28, 1981. They made their home in the Venturia area and in 1983, they moved to Napoleon. In 1997, they bought a farmstead near Kintyre, where he lived up until the time of his death. Tim had a lot of one liners as he was very witty. He was very good provider and cared about everybody. Tim was very proud of his children and enjoyed bragging about his grandchildren. He had a love for music and liked going to concerts. Tim also enjoyed a good massage and sitting in the hot tub.
Tim died Monday, Jan. 29, at his home in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was 61 years old.
Tim is survived by his two sons and his grandchildren, Nick (Lynsey) Gross, Madalyn, Karter and another one soon, Napoleon, and Tom (Tori) Gross, Tayte and Tessa, Napoleon; his two daughters and his grandchildren, Ashley (Jay Jones) Gross, Parker, Bismarck and Emily (Ryan) Piatz, Wesley, Leslie and another one soon, Napoleon; his mother, Wilma Gross, Napoleon, his brothers, Alfred Gross, Jr., Jamestown, Valentine Gross, Streeter, Stephen (Lori) Gross, Napoleon, and Donald Gross, Napoleon; his sisters, Pamela Gross, Bismarck, Ellene (Raphael) Brendel, Napoleon, and Jacqueline Binstock, Bismarck.
