Rodney R. Weidner, 67, Fargo, passed away Sept. 7, 2019, at his home surrounded by his family.
Rodney was born Feb. 19, 1952, in Hazen, to Roland and Deane (Tabert) Weidner. He graduated from Beulah High School in 1970. He was the first child of five boys. He married his high school sweetheart Mary Kay Hoepfner on May 13, 1972, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Beulah and started their loving, fun filled life together. They lived in Fargo and Bismarck where their two children were born.
He was a caring, joyful man who loved his family with all his heart. His main passion was spending time with his grandchildren and playing golf, which he enjoyed doing whenever he had the chance.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Kay, Fargo; children, Jeremy (Janine) Weidner, Lakeland, Fla., Laura (Andrew) Job, Fergus Falls, Minn.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; mother, Deane Weidner, Beulah; brothers, Harlon (Lynnae) Weidner and Mike (Lisa) Weidner, both of Beulah, Dennis Weidner, Wahpeton, Tim Weidner, West Fargo; and sister-in-law, Melinda Hoepfner, Bismarck.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and father, Roland.

Memorial mass is 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, West Fargo, with visitation starting at 12 p.m.
