Ralph J. Keller, 87, Bismarck, passed away June 30, 2018, at St. Vincent’s Care Center, surrounded by his loving family. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 5, at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit. Burial will be at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, at Bismarck Funeral Home, with a rosary/vigil at 7 p.m.
Ralph served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1951. He married the love of his life, Lorraine Wilhelm, on June 3, 1952, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Glen Ullin.
Ralph had a vested interest in construction and real estate development. The diversity of his projects included commercial buildings, apartments, motels, bowling alleys and mobile home parks. He embraced the newest construction methods and products. He had a vision and always followed his dreams. His projects added to the character of this area we continue to experience today.
Ralph and Lorraine briefly retired to Arizona, but moved back to North Dakota because that was where their hearts were. They enjoyed traveling, dancing, the Norsk Hostfest, the Medora Musical and accordion music at the various clubs around town. Ralph and Lorraine are together again, forever in love.
Ralph is survived by his children, Sheila (Don) Goetz, Tucson, Ariz, and Renee (Jay) Keller-Wilhelm, Dickinson; grandchildren, Jenae (Raphael) Sanchez, Chicago, and Chase and Samantha, Dickinson; great-grandchildren, Mateo and Aurora Sanchez, Chicago; brother, Francis Keller, Sioux Falls, S.D.; along with various nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Mary Keller; two sisters, Loretta (Fischer) and Barbara (Hoepfner); and five brothers, Sylvester, Pius, Bill, Victor and Joseph. (Bismarck Funeral Home)
