Myra Jean Weisenburger, 69, Twin Falls, Idaho, took the Lord's hand May 9, 2018, at the Genesis Twin Falls Care Center in Twin Falls, from complications of kidney failure. Myra was born Dec. 10, 1948, in New Rockford, to Erwin and Joyce (Sanderson) Weisenburger. The family moved to Bismarck when she was a very young girl. In 1967 Myra was a graduate from Bismarck High School and she also had attended some classes at Bismarck Junior College. For a short time, she worked in the ND State Treasurer's office, she then worked for the Germans from Russia Society and then completed a 35 year career in the business office of the Heartview Alcohol and Drug Addiction Foundation. In June 2014, one year after her retirement, Myra moved to Twin Falls.
Myra enjoyed playing pinochle, bridge, reading, watching her favorite TV programs, an occasional trip to the casino and playing with her beloved Japanese Chin "Sadie." Although miles away she was always in contact with the many close friends she made through her school, sorority and employment years. Her smile, great sense of humor and friendship will be missed by all who knew her.
Myra was preceded in death by her parents, Erwin and Joyce Weisenburger.
She is survived by her only sibling, Allen (Vicky) Weisenburger, Indianapolis. Myra was an aunt to two nieces, Wendy and Lacy, and one nephew, Dustin. She has several aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss her.
As Myra requested, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Any memorials can be made in her honor to St. Jude's Hospital or the National Kidney Foundation.
Cremation is under the direction of Rosenau Funeral Home and Crematory in Twin Falls.
