Kathleen M. Robidou passed away quietly in her sleep Oct. 6, 2018, at a Mandan care center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, at Bismarck Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
She was born May 21, 1938 in Bismarck, to Mildred (Crawford) Robidou and James Oscar Robidou. Kathleen grew up on a farm 10 miles south of Bismarck. She enjoyed horseback riding and had a favorite Appaloosa named Amigo.
Kathleen attended eight years of elementary education at the local Fort Rice country school. She then attended Bismarck High School and graduated in 1957. Kathleen worked right after graduation for several years at Arrowhead Super Valu in the Meat Department. During this time she lived across the street from work in a small apartment.
She later changed employment and worked as a Nurses Aide at St. Vincent’s Nursing Home. In the early 70’s, she terminated employment and returned to the family farm. Here she cared for her aging parents. She lived the last four years in a Bismarck care center.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Mildred Robidou; two sisters, Vidette Freier and Donna Jean Dimond; a nephew; and a niece.
She leaves two brothers, Jerome (Meta) Robidou, Kalispell, Mont., and Robert (Wilma) Robidou, Bismarck; and one brother-in-law, Lyle Dimond, Lisbon. She also leaves many nieces and nephews in Montana and North Dakota.
