Gloria Jean Eble, 77, Bismarck, passed away Jan. 5, 2019, at Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 24, at Mandan United Methodist Church with the Rev. Bruce Adams officiating. There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place. Interment will be in Tuttle Community Cemetery, Tuttle.
Gloria was born Jan. 23, 1941, at rural Tuttle, to John and Pauline (Leno) Dockter. She was raised and educated in rural Kidder County. She and her husband lived in Michigan for most of their married life. While there, she was very involved in the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Gloria worked for the forest service for a time. Gloria moved back to North Dakota in 2005. She lived at Library Square and was the Bingo caller for many years. She loved doing puzzles, playing cards and watching games shows on TV.
She is survived by sisters, Gladys Zerr, Audubon, Minn., Darlene (Ralph) Skare, Britton, S.D., Mary Lou (Adrian) Metz, Webster, S.D., Diana (Kevin) Kwasniewski, Mandan; half-sister, Elaine Landenberger, Rockford, Ill.; brothers, Stanley (Donna) Dockter, Santee, Calif., John (Nancy) Dockter, Bismarck, Daniel (Laurie) Dockter, Rockford, Lyle Dockter, Rockford, and Lynn (Brenda) Dockter, Parks, Ariz.; numerous nieces and nephews and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George Eble; daughter, Marsha Eble; son, Greg Eble; brother, Kenneth Dockter; half-sisters Leona Papke and Mabel Thon; and half-brother James Dockter.
