Garret William Forsch, formerly of Mandan, passed away peacefully July 26, 2019, at the age of 73 years, surrounded by family at his home in Venice, Fla.
Garret grew up in Mott, and was a veteran of the USAF and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping in North and South Dakota. He enjoyed spending time with his family and three grandchildren in Florida.
Garret had a successful career in the appliance business - most notably with General Electric for 14 years and later marketing and sales for Montana Dakota Utility for 21 years. Retiring from MDU in 2012, he and his wife, LaDonna, moved to Venice, Fla. He was loved dearly and will be missed by many.
Garret was proceeded in death by his parents, William and Edith Forsch, and is survived by wife, LaDonna Forsch of Venice, Fla.; son and daughter-in-law Chad (Kimberly) Forsch of Venice, Fla., and three grandchildren, Nicholas, Ruby, and Zachary Forsch; brother and sister-in-law Roger (Rosemary) Forsch of Pierre, S.D.; two nephews, Kevin (Carroll) Forsch and family of Pierre, S.D., and Tim (Catherine) Forsch and family of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and niece, Kim (Steve) Erickson and family of Concord, N.H.; as well as the special love and friendship of cousin, Darryl (Kathy) Hummel, Fargo; and friend, Bill Hutter, Park Rapids, Minn.
North Dakota Services will be held Friday, Aug. 23, at 10 a.m. at DaWise-Perry Funeral Home, 4614 Memorial Hwy, Mandan. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. EST Saturday at Venice-Nokomis Elks Lodge, 1021 Discovery Way, Nokomis, Fla.
