WARWICK — Deloris Lucille (Forde) Langley, 84, Warwick, passed away at Mercy Hospital, Devils Lake, on Jan. 11, 2013. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, at Warwick Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday at Gilbertson Funeral Home, Devils Lake, and will continue on Saturday one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
Deloris was born Dec. 1, 1928, at Pekin, the daughter of James and Mabel (Tufto) Forde. She attended school in Pekin, then Warwick Public School after the family moved to a farm near Warwick in 1941, graduating in a class of one in 1946.
Deloris married Byron J. Langley on Nov. 11, 1947. They farmed and ranched near Warwick. Deloris devoted her love, time and energy on her family and enjoyed attending many of their sporting events and activities from piano recitals to rodeos.
She was a member of the New Rockford Golf Club, the Warwick Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid and participated in many Democratic-NPL activities with her husband.
Survivors include her husband, Byron Langley, Warwick; her children, Darla (Bob) Miller, Menoken, Maxine (Robert) Nordick, Horace, and James E. (Mary) Langley, Gene (Peggy) Langley and Preston (Marnie) Langley, all of Warwick; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Howard Forde, Mandan; one sister-in-law, Beatrice Cudworth, Sheyenne; and one brother-in-law, Frank (Lois) Langley, Sheyenne.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Maxine Forde; and one brother, John Forde.
