Celestine Adams

Funeral services for Celestine “Sally” Adams, 82, of Dickinson, formerly of Medora, will be held at 1 p.m. MDT Monday, Sept. 16, at Badlands Ministries Bible Camp, near Medora.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Woodlawn Cemetery in Steele.

Celestine passed away Sept. 10, 2019, at Richardton Health Center, Richardton.

Celestine “Sally” Bosch was born Aug. 16, 1937 in Emmons County, N.D., the daughter of Valentine and Margaret (Lipp) Bosch. Sally grew up and attended the Tenvick Grade School and later graduated from Hazelton High School. During high school she enjoyed playing sports, especially basketball. Sally met and married Edwin Humann in Steele. To this union they were blessed with five children, Dan, David, Nancy, Lynell and Anette. Together they lived in Steele and raised their family.

Sally was later married to Tom Adams and they spent the next 40 years on a ranch in Medora. They retired and moved into Dickinson in 2001 where they have made their home since. Sally worked 27 years at the Billings County Courthouse in Medora and volunteered many hours with different groups. She enjoyed horseback riding, gardening, and especially enjoyed her flower gardens. Sally was always making jokes and playing tricks with everyone. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and most recently her great-grandchildren.

Sally is survived by her husband, Tom; son, Dan Humann; daughters, Nancy Ratterree, Lynell Hanley, Anette Ordahl; stepson, Dave (Donna) Adams; stepdaughters, Colleen Fuller, Shelly (Bill) Falcon, Holly (Chaney) Stotts; brothers, Chuck Bosch, Allen (Jackie) Bosch; grandchildren, Kurtis Ratterree, Elizabeth Hanley, Matt Hanley, Darrienne Slater, Jesse Humann, Micah Humann; step grandchildren, Chelsea Fuller, Erin Fuller, Jennilee (Keith) Buckman, Justin Adams, David (Megan) Weishoff, Joey (Travis) Volbrecht, Chaney Stotts, Jes (Ryan) McMorris; and nine great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; son, David Humann; and sister, Patricia Bosch.

Memorials may be given to Badlands Ministries.
