Carla G. Pfeifer, 55, Hazen, died Nov. 30, 2019, at Sakakawea Medical Center, Hazen. Services will be held 2 p.m. CST Friday, Dec. 6, at Peace Lutheran Church, Hazen, with Pastor Mark Martin officiating. Burial will follow at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, rural Mandan, at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Barbot Funeral Home, Hazen.
Carla graduated from Maddock High School with the class of 1982. She was employed as a barber in Beulah, worked with her brother at Bison Auto, Leingang windows, Noble Games and prior to retirement worked at Hazen Drug. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafts, working with her flowers in the summertime, fishing, trail riding and spending time with family and children.
She is survived by her husband, Ross Pfeifer, Hazen; one son, Preston James Camp, Bismarck; stepsons, Pete (Steph) and Preston Pfeifer, Bismarck; grandson, Emerson Pfeifer, Coleharbor; mother, Karen and Randy Stiller, Hazen; father, James Engebretson, Oberon; one sister, Laurel (Steve) Rohrer, Oberon; brothers, Curt (Lisa) Engebretson, Mandan, Jared (Serina) McKinnon, Darin McKinnon, Bryan (Alyssa) Engebretson, all of Oberon, Diane Engebretson, Devils Lake; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Camp; grandparents, Carl and Alma Anderson; Marie and Melvin Engebretson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
